Natalie Marr is an artist-researcher with a continuing interest in the qualities and conditions of natural darkness, starlight and the night-time. Solargraphs (Dark Sky Park) were exposed across the winter months in the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park. Using flimsy pinhole cameras intentionally made to be open to the elements, the solargraphs offer an alternative visual imagination of dark skies, normally photographed from the astronomer’s point of view. Natalie is currently developing and presenting work around nocturnal intimacies, late night encounters and dreams and visions that come from the dark.
